PORK, PARMESAN AND CARAMELISED RED ONION SAUSAGE ROLLS

Ingredients

 

1kg Pork Mince – ask your butcher for good quality mince

50g Oats

1 Large Egg

100g Freeze Dried Caramelised Red Onions

50g Freeze Dried Parmesan

1 Tablespoon Cracked Black Pepper

2 Sheets of Ready Rolled Puff Pastry

 

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180C
  2. Unroll your pastry sheets so they can achieve a room temperature and are easy to use
  3. In a large bowl thrown all the ingredients in and mix well with your hands until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly.
  4. Cut your pastry sheet into 6 even squares and place some of the mince mixture down the middle of each sheet
  5. Wrap the pastry around the mince and squeeze each end so the mince is sealed within the pastry
  6. Using a fork press down on each end to give a nice pattern
  7. Brush some egg over each sausage roll and place in the oven for approx. 30 minutes or until the pastry has risen and is brown.

Serving Suggestion for sausage rolls – On their own dipped in our Sundried Tomato Dipping sauce or good old Ketchup
